These companies make what we buy for ourselves and keep in-house for you. If you have something special you need, just let us know... these guys have a great record going to bat for us and our customers. Plus, most of them are our friends anyway. Hypnotic Designs -- Jack makes sweet knickers, vests and jackets. All waterproof/breathable with the features that cyclists need. Rain tested in Arcata, NorCal.
Kona Bicycles -- This company is a bicyclists bicycle company, they all ride every day. Kona wants your bike to reflect your personality as well as perform to your (fun) level.
Breezer Bicycles -- Breezer is redefining city bikes. Think Netherlands, or Japan, then make it lighter and add performance geometry and you have their vision in mind.
Soma Fabrications -- Soma makes really sweet town bikes, road bikes and fixed gear bikes. Mostly 631 steel and all well thought out.
Surly Bikes -- Surly is one of the coolest companies out there for a heavy duty single speed or daily commuter rig. These guys also ride every day, and in Minneapolis, that means hardcore.
Chrome Bags -- Still made in the States, without excessive price tags. Tough to do but they make it happen and have for several years now. Packed full of features that mean they are still used by messengers everywhere.
Burley -- These guys and gals are the benchmark for rainjackets and kids trailers. they are also a co-op in Eugene which is another great reason to support them.
DeSalvo Custom Cycles -- Mike is our favorite custom builder and an old-school shop rat. 'Best Tig welded frame' at the hand built show this year does not do his work justice. See it to believe. Builds Iditabikes, touring, track racing (winning) and anything else your heart desires. Rashard Lewis rides one and so do several of our track team.
Salsa Cycles -- No longer in Cali but still doing their thing which is performance oriented frames and components. We love their bars, stems and seatposts.
Bell Helmets -- The first name in bicycle helmets and still one of the best. Their BMX line is also extensive.
Giro Helmets -- Offer a line of everything from kids to downhill racing helmets that are known for fit and comfort.
TurboCat Lights -- The original souped up rechargable Cateye that they started with defines their creativity and desire for a solid functioning product. The choice of 24hr racers, Iditabikers and commuters all over. Heavy duty, no nonsense, working light systems.
Smartwool Clothing -- First you try the socks, then you are completely hooked. Base layers, clothing, hats, gloves and of course socks. All New Zealand merino wool which means it feels nice next to your skin.
Redline Bicycles -- Remember that BMX that you stared longingly at for hours at the track, bike shop or friends house. These guys probably made it. They also do some other sweet bikes as well. Additionally Cyclo-cross in the NW was defined by them for years and now they do several single speeds.
David Wilson Industries -- David has been making frames for many years and now he specializes in cargo bicycles and frame repairs or modifications. He also makes our hella sweet stems, which are sold out for now, but on the way.
XtraCycle -- 'Instant cargo bike' is one way to look at this. Take your old unused mountain bike and when we attach one of these, it becomes the Gama Goat of bicycles. Haul nearly anything and your bike still rides nice when empty or full. |
